Reading between the mouse-clicks
Four years passed away since World of Warcraft embraced adventurers for the first time and its first expansion, The Burning Crusade proved that Blizzard is on a lackadaisical release schedule for WOW. But it continued to grow wildly popular, and Blizzard packed the punches for a full-swing delivery when competition is conquering the gaming markets. This made expectations run high for over 11 million subscribers on the Wrath of the Lich King – though a phenomenal, tight and well-built expansion, the former killer instincts are missing as well as the wow-factors.
Play: Game
Choose a character and you shall either be with the Lich King or against him and as you achieve a level-55 character, create WOW’s first hero class – the Death Knighti, who introduces you to massive, reasonably dramatic story-driven quests and lets you acquire talents from level 10 onwards. Whether you’ll like killing innocents or stealing horses or similar other no-nonsense evil is, however; depends on your morality.
Replay/Abort?
It’s the instance-based content that makes Lich King an enjoyable game to play and the Death Knight works as a catalyst, making a MMO reach new developmental standards. Still, Blizzard could’ve further shaken up the genre instead of prolonging the wait.
